About the Diaspora Invest Project

The USAID Diaspora Invest Project (DI) is a five-year, $15.7 million program to catalyze the potential of the BiH diaspora to advance the country’s socio-economic development. DI is fostering local communities’ engagement with the diaspora and mobilizing diaspora investment and knowledge transfer to stimulate economic growth and create jobs. The project builds on USAID’s past successes in diaspora engagement in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Technical assistance may include, but is not limited to strategy and business consulting, support for digitalization, marketing, sales and communications assistance, introduction of international standards and certifications, workforce training, etc. Public call is open to limited liability or joint-stock companies registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina that are up to 6 years old and that have a demonstrable diaspora connection (diaspora ownership, co-ownership, or verifiable business partnership).

Request for Proposals (RFP-2023-04) for Diaspora Engagement Advisory Services under an Indefinite Quantity Subcontract (IQS)

Request for Applications: Expression of Interest for Diaspora Expert Assistance in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The USAID Diaspora Invest Project is seeking applications for diaspora-expert assistance (DEA) to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The DEA will provide technical assistance to advance the DI’s objectives, such as fostering diaspora engagement, catalyzing investment, and stimulating economic development. The assistance can be in areas such as export preparation and knowledge sharing development support. Applications will be reviewed every two weeks starting from April 25, 2023, and the program will end either when all technical assistance interventions are implemented or on October 16, 2023.
