The USAID Diaspora Invest Project, in collaboration with local partners in Bosnia and Herzegovina, invites expressions of interest from the Bosnian and Herzegovinian diaspora members. The program seeks to engage diaspora experts to provide assistance in various areas, including business strategy, financial management, sales and marketing, supply chain optimization, research and development, information technology, human resources, communications, sector analysis, and export facilitation.

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must be members of the BiH diaspora with proven expertise in relevant fields. They should commit to actively assisting at least one MSME in Bosnia and Herzegovina, dedicating a minimum of 16 hours of comprehensive assistance per participant.

General Scope of Diaspora Experts’ Assistance:

Diaspora experts will engage in activities such as public sessions, desk research, site visits, online meetings, and providing actionable recommendations to supported MSMEs through knowledge sharing assistance (as mentors) and export opportunities assistance (as export agents).

Assistance in Implementation:

The project will provide comprehensive support, including an online orientation session, individualized plan development, mentorship/assistance agreement, mapping and matching with local companies, co-financing of travel expenses, logistical support, facilitated communication and networking opportunities.

Selection Criteria:

Applications will be evaluated based on educational background, experience, competencies, skills, motivation, availability, and matching with local MSME needs.
